A Stich in Time is an itinerant piece about the potentiality of intimacy in different settings. It aspires to blur time and allow multiple ways of engaging with landscapes to emerge.
Phase 1: touch
April 6th, 2018 / 3 PM – 9 PM / Excentricités IX Festival, Besançon, France. One-on-one sessions in Patio 3 of the Institut Supérieur des Beaux Arts de Besançon.
By word of mouth, participants were invited to enter the garden and explore the space with their senses, at their own pace. When they found a place they felt connected to, I would join them on the spot and engage in a massage inspired by Body-Mind Centering techniques. After this journey through touch, participants could choose between a stone and a kaleidoscope —each accompanied by a booklet of written suggestions— to continue navigating the ecology of the garden and, perhaps, altered states of consciousness.
